Pipit uses escrow protection for all transactions. When a buyer purchases an item, their payment is held securely by our payment processor (Stripe) until the pickup is confirmed. Once the buyer confirms they've received the item, the funds are released to the seller. This protects both parties from fraud.
Porch pickup allows sellers to leave items on their porch for buyers to pick up at a scheduled time. Sellers set their availability windows, and buyers choose a time that works. When it's time, the seller places the item outside, and the buyer picks it up—no face-to-face meeting required. The buyer confirms pickup in the app, and funds are released to the seller.
Listing is quick and easy. Tap the "Sell" button, take a few photos of your item, set your price, and add a description. Set your pickup availability and you're done. Most parents list items in under 60 seconds.
Funds are released to your connected bank account within 24 hours after the buyer confirms pickup. If the buyer doesn't confirm within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup time, funds are automatically released to you. Payouts typically arrive in 2-3 business days depending on your bank.
Pipit charges a 5% seller fee on completed sales, plus a $0.50 processing fee per transaction that covers payment processing costs. There are no listing fees, no monthly fees, and no hidden charges. You only pay when you make a sale.
pipit doesn't allow items under active CPSC recall, expired car seats, drop-side cribs, or cribs made before June 2011. Sellers are responsible for ensuring items are safe and accurately described. We recommend checking the CPSC website (cpsc.gov) if you're unsure about a specific item.
If something goes wrong—like the item doesn't match the description or doesn't show up—you can file a dispute within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time. While funds are in escrow, we'll work with both parties to resolve the issue. Contact us at [email protected] with your order details.
pipit is designed for children's gear—clothing, toys, strollers, car seats, furniture, and more for ages 0-12. We don't allow items under active CPSC recall, expired car seats, drop-side cribs, or cribs made before June 2011. See our Terms of Service for a full list of prohibited items.
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Tap Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will remove your profile, listings, and personal data. If you have pending transactions, you'll need to complete or cancel them first. You can also email [email protected] to request deletion.
